Job Description

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive Senior Test & Commissioning Engineer to join our project team. This role involves leading testing and commissioning of rail systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support testing and commissioning of rail systems.
  • Support fault finding, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Update testing documentation, and evidences.
  • Prepare test specifications and reports in line with ASA, EN, and IEC standards.
  • Supervise and mentor technicians and junior engineers, ensuring competency in testing procedures.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and government bodies including Auckland Transport.
  • Coordinate with external project stakeholders.
  • Ensure safety compliance during live testing and issue work permits as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Experienced in test and commissioning of rail systems (rollingstock or wayside)
  • Strong background in rail systems, testing, and engineering change management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, FRACAS, and technical reporting.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with Australian and international standards (ASA, EN, IEC).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
