He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga | About the role

This is a unique serious injury client situation which means that you will be part of a special team that is trained specifically to attend to this person needs, you will be working in the home to oversee care requirements, and you will support them with all elements of daily living.

  • Advanced bowel cares
  • Catheter management
  • Complex exercise programme from a physiotherapist
  • Autonomic dysreflexia
  • Medication and insulin oversight
  • Personal cares

Shifts available:

Week 1:

Tuesday 07:00 – 14:45

Thursday 07:00 – 14:45

Week 2:

Saturday 07:00 – 14:45 and 19:00 – 20:00

Sunday 19:00 – 20:00

Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga | Skills and experience

  • Diploma in Community Healthcare and Support (level 7) from NZSE
  • Experience in caring for clients with serious injuries
  • Spinal injury
  • Use of full, standing and two-person hoist
  • Stoma Management
  • TeTiriti o Waitangi and Bi-cultural approach
  • Experience issuing prescribed medication
  • Full driver's license
  • Ability to work overnight shifts when required
