About the Role
The Eligibility Team Lead's role will include, but not limited to, ensuring that patients' eligibility status is determined in a timely manner in accordance with the eligibility process, invoices are promptly sent to ineligible patients, and ensure that HNZ customer concerns are addressed efficiently. They will also provide leadership, coaching, and administrative support to their team, including staff located across multiple sites. Whilst the role is predominantly based at Middlemore Hospital, you may on occasion, be required to work at others sites e.g. Greenlane Clinical Centre or Auckland City Hospital.
About you
You will bring proven experience in a management role, demonstrating strong communication skills, effective leadership, and sound business acumen. Key to your success in this position will be your ability to manage conflict, your proficiency in MS Office applications and your practical understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in the workplace.
Familiarity with patient management systems, eligibility criteria, and the Health and Disability Services Eligibility Direction 2011 is advantageous, though not essential.
