About the Role

In this role, youll play a key part in supporting the Northern Region Interventional Radiology (NRIR), Cardiovascular Unit (CVU), and Radiology teams to deliver efficient, high-quality, and patient-focused services. Youll help ensure smooth patient flow within the departments and contribute to a positive patient experience. As a clinical leader, youll support and guide the NRIR and CVU MIT teams, promoting evidence-based practice, professional development, and adherence to quality standards and ethical codes.

About you

Our preferred applicant will have the below skills and experience:

Essential

  • Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Imaging (or equivalent) and current MRTB registration
  • Enrolled in a recognised Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme
  • Minimum three years experience, including at least two in Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Catheterisation Labs
  • Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills
  • Patient- and whānau-centred approach with commitment to culturally safe practice
  • Professional, reliable, and able to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred

  • Five or more years experience in Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Catheterisation Labs
  • Previous leadership experience as a qualified MIT
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for ongoing learning and exploring new concepts
