The opportunity:

This is a pivotal time to join and lead an organisation-wide technology uplift. With strong executive sponsorship, you'll set and execute a pragmatic technology strategy while ensuring day-to-day reliability across infrastructure, cloud, and business systems. A key focus will be to assess the current ERP and data foundation, and deliver a clear transformation roadmap that enables smarter, scalable processes. You'll modernise platforms, uplift cybersecurity, tighten governance, and position the business with the right digital foundations for growth. The remit blends strategic planning with operational delivery – ideal for a leader who can toggle between roadmap, architecture, and service excellence. The role:

  • Define, socialise, and deliver the multi-year technology strategy and roadmap
  • Run IT operations across apps, infrastructure, and cloud services with clear SLAs
  • Assess and transform the ERP and data foundation to support future business needs
  • Own the lifecycle of all the technology that sits between manufacturing systems and the business; drive adoption and value
  • Uplift cybersecurity posture, policies, and risk management
  • Oversee enterprise architecture, integration, and data governance
  • Manage budgets, vendors, licensing, and contract performance
  • Build, mentor, and develop a small internal team (1–2 directs) and partners
  • Engage closely with executive, operations, and commercial stakeholders
  • Establish metrics and continuous improvement across services and projects

Your fit:

  • 10+ years in IT with 5+ in senior leadership roles
  • Proven strategic planning and execution across enterprise technology
  • Depth in infrastructure, cloud (ideally Azure), and Microsoft 365 & PowerApps
  • Proven experience leading ERP and data platform transformation
  • Strong cybersecurity, governance, and risk management capability
  • Enterprise architecture and change leadership experience
  • Confident stakeholder management, vendor leadership, and budgeting
  • T-shaped leader: strategic, hands-on, and delivery-focused
