Sunrise Healthcare is a privately owned business operating in the healthcare sector. We are a medium sized operator in the Aged Care industry with rest homes across Auckland.

As part of our team, the Human Resources Advisor will work closely with Facility Managers and Clinical Managers across all sites in Auckland.

About this role

The HR advisor role reports directly to the General Manager. Your key responsibilities will include:

· Assist site managers to manage employee performance, development and retention.

· Managing our accredited employer status with Immigration NZ.

· Providing advice and handle employee relation matters.

· Providing advice and handle industrial relations matters including collective bargaining.

· Maintaining policies that reflect current legal standards and best practices.

In addition to these responsibilities related to people and culture, there are responsibilities in operations of the business. They include:

· Supporting the General Manager with supplier negotiations.

· Supporting the General Manager with the operational oversight of our rest homes.

About you

The successful applicant will be a seasoned HR generalist that has a passion for people and also has a pragmatic, commercial mindset. You will be confident navigating complex situations, building trust and influencing outcomes through your outstanding communication skills.

· At least 3 years' of HR experience, ideally in a 24/7 blue-collar workforce (e.g. Health, Hospitality)

· Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.

· Proven leadership and coaching skills.

· A collaborative but solutions-focused approach.

· Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Comfort in working in a tightly regulated sector.
