We seek a skilled and motivated teacher who is:
- Able to teach Te Reo Maaori to NCEA Level 1-3
- A Team player who is willing to be part of the Maaori Whaanau Unit Te Ahikaa
- Willing to make a commitment to the school's restorative and culturally sustaining practices
- Interested in fostering whaanau and community relationships
- Committed to the kaupapa of raising Maaori achievement as Maaori throughout the kura
- Experienced in tutoring Kapa Haka, Mau Rakau, Tikanga Maaori and/or Maaori Art Forms beneficial.
For overseas teachers looking to relocate to New Zealand to teach, the terms and conditions including base salary for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,305 to $95,400 depending on applicants qualifications and experience. Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
