At Chorus, our People & Culture team plays a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience and enabling our People Strategy, we strive to create an energetic, connected environment that evolves with our customers and our business. As Senior People & Culture Business Partner you're a trusted advisor and strategic partner to Executives, senior leaders and people leaders driving the people and culture agenda to enable Chorus' business strategy. You will operate as a core member of the Senior Leadership Team for your business portfolios, influencing and shaping strategic decision-making through a people lens.
This fixed-term parental leave opportunity is ideal for a P&C professional who thrives on variety, influence, and growth. You'll coach and mentor senior and emerging leaders, support key people processes, and contribute to policy and framework design. Your role will blend hands-on operational work with strategic advisory input - making a real impact on our people's experience.

Ō Wheako, ō Pūkenga | Your Experience
We're looking for a strategic P&C professional, comfortable leading and supporting business transformation initiatives. You'll bring energy, warmth & professionalism to your work, combining operational excellence with the ability to influence and coach senior & emerging people leaders. In addition, you will:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field, with proven senior-level and strategic business partnering experience within Aotearoa New Zealand.
- Bring a comprehensive understanding of New Zealand employment law, with experience across the full employee lifecycle, applying best practice to foster fair and supportive workplaces.
- Have exposure to organisational design and development, with demonstrated expertise in transformational change - ideally involving service delivery or operating model shifts.
- Be confident engaging with senior stakeholders, including preparing board papers and presenting insights at executive level.
- Demonstrate polished, professional communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility quickly.
- Potentially you may also come from an HR contracting background, with the agility to thrive in new and dynamic environments.
- Work in an organised and methodical way, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ideally you will have experience in similar listed organisations, though this is not essential.
