The Opportunity - Te Tūranga

Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Finance, this is a pivotal role where you will deliver strategic and commercial insights that empower leaders to make smarter decisions and achieve stronger business outcomes. You'll be a trusted partner, shaping strategies that optimise performance and drive growth.

What You'll Do

  • Act as a key strategic partner to the Head of Commercial Finance, GM Commercial Finance & Planning, Executive team, and senior business leaders to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide best-practice financial analysis, modelling, and recommendations that influence commercial, strategic, and operational outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategies aligned with TVNZ's purpose, ambitions, and values.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures while championing continuous improvement and innovation

What We're Looking For - Tā Mātou e Kimi Nei

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • Professional qualifications: Degree-qualified and a certified accountant (CA, CPA) or equivalent experience in commercial finance.
  • Proven expertise in business partnering and commercial finance.
  • Commercial acumen and curiosity, with a strong results-driven mindset.
  • A track record of delivering measurable commercial outcomes and driving performance improvements.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and tools such as Power BI, Business Objects, and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, always seeking opportunities to add value and enhance processes.
