Te Mahi | About the role

Lead the charge in growing Ngāti Kuia's brand and commercial ventures. This role blends creative strategy with cultural integrity to amplify our stories, products, and places — connecting whānau, customers, and communities through powerful marketing and communications.

Key Focus Areas:


• Brand & Promotion – Elevate products and experiences with bold, authentic branding.


• Content Creation – Craft compelling, culturally rich content that resonates.


• Digital & Social – Drive engagement and insights across online platforms.


• Campaigns & Events – Power up iwi events with sharp messaging and storytelling.


• Comms Support – Lead newsletters, media updates, and stakeholder outreach.

What You'll Bring


• 2+ years relevant experience


• A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Media, or Digital Content Creation.


• Proven experience in product marketing, social media management, and content creation.


• A strong understanding of kaupapa Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori.

Bonus Skills


• Experience working with iwi, Māori businesses, or kaupapa-driven organisations.


• Skills in e-commerce, graphic design, photography, or video editing.
