Grounds Person

Are you a passionate and talented gardener who is focused on grounds presentation and has general maintenance ability?

The Anchorage is part of the Hopper Living Group. Hoppers are a family owned and run company formed in 1956, well known for its expertise in creating comprehensively planned lifestyle developments.

Situated within the Marsden Cove waterways development, The Anchorage is a unique retirement village with a lifestyle ideal for the independent and active retiree. The Anchorage is still in development and currently approximately one third complete with all the community facilities still to come.

Our grounds and gardens have a coastal feel and look and while not yet fully established, the standard of landscaping needs to be maintained to a high level of presentation. We need a full-time person with proven experience in landscaping,garden and ground management and the ability to assist and support our Maintenance person as required.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Petanque terrain maintenance
• Lawn care
• Grounds work
• General Landscaping maintenance
• Equipment operation
• General maintenance knowledge and ability

Our ideal applicant

• Has a good level of fitness, loves to muck in and enjoys a busy pace
• Is methodical with great time management skills
• Is creative with a good eye for detail
• Is self-motivated and a keen team player with a passion for helping people
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Has landscaping or horticulture qualifications or a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Holds a full clean driver's license
• Is ready to start immediately
