About the location:

Unique Hotel Elements:

  • Expansive resort set on 350 acres. Open year-round. High season runs annually from 12/20 – 5/31. Non-union operation with approximately 800 employees.
  • Resort will embark on a renovation master plan of wellness center, rooms, lobby, pools and golf in upcoming years. 
  • Resort features 7 F&B outlets including Esquilina, Monkey Bar, On The Dune Restaurant and Bar, Kastawey, Mango Restaurant, and an extensive pool and beach operation. 
  • Resort amenities include expansive beach, 3 swimming pools, spa and fitness, including tennis and pickle ball courts.
  • Focus is on true to concept product and service, elevating overall product through active project management, and repositioning of the entire Resort over the coming years.

View of Needs

  • Seeking an existing Hotel/Resort Manager with well-rounded executive hospitality experience gained in multiple properties (preferably including Caribbean experience and highly adaptive to Caribbean island culture), resulting in an agile and adaptable leader.
  • The Resort Manager will assist the General Manager in the repositioning of the resort and focus on the operational divisions to deliver a high luxury service experience by building and coaching a highly engaged, high-performance team culture.
  • Resort will embark on an extensive renovation in the next few years and therefore, ability to navigate complex projects is key.
  • Embrace and become an integral part of the local community which is a key to success in the local environment.
  • The residential component of FS Nevis is a complex operation that requires strong leadership skills and business acumen. The RM must lead and influence the owners and build meaningful connections with all stakeholders and the HOA Board.

Leadership Requirements

General

  • A leader who leads with care and genuine heart, bringing the team along with them.
  • Authenticity, empathy and leader as coach are essential.
  • Varied cultural experience is a must. Adaptable to Caribbean and Island culture is critical to success.
  • Prior island resort and residential experience is desirable.
  • Interpersonal skills and maturity to effectively connect with and build trusting relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to drive margins, manage labor and expenses while exceeding guest experience metrics. 
  • A decisive and independent leader who is able to make a fact-based decisions and effectively communicate to all key stakeholders

People

  • An ambassador of the Executive Office at all times including interactions with Government, Residential Owners, and Ownership Group
  • High level of business acumen and EQ is essential in guiding property leaders including Planning Committee members
  • A leader as coach who can bring out the best in employees with a wide range of experience and from different cultures.
  • Development of local talent is key. A growth mindset to continually develop the overall leadership team through effective coaching, exposure to new career experiences, robust development planning and L&D opportunities.
  • Ability to navigate a non-union culture with sensitivity to outside influences. 
  • Exceptional personal presence with employees, guests, residential owners; highly engaged in day-to-day operation.
  • Exhibits a composed and consistent demeanor at all times displaying emotional maturity in de-escalation and coaching.
  • Capability to influence and build genuine relationships with multiple key stakeholders, including guests, residents, Hotel Owners representative, government officials, and most importantly the Four Seasons team and local Nevisian community.

Product

  • An eye for product: Resort features multiple restaurants and bars that compete with all top local restaurants on Island.
  • Hi-Touch leader with heavy product and service focus to be able to support the resort's commercial objectives.
  • Ability to assess and implement programs that enhances the total guest journey from booking through departure.
  • Prior project management experience is essential in close partnership with Operations, Finance, and Engineering.
  • Experience with Spa & Wellness as the current wellness program will be renovated and relaunched in 2026.
  • Agile leader with independent thinking and creative mindset.
  • Service excellence and elevation is key including a strong focus on KPIs such as LQA, Qualtrics

Profit

  • Capacity to yield both top and bottom line, and a strong focus on forecast accuracy is essential.
  • Strong understanding of Rooms, F&B, Facilities, and Commercial and Revenue management required.
  • Ability to analyze and positively influence property financial results and projections.
  • Strong understanding and articulation of financial statements is essential *The Asset Manager is very involved and detailed.
  • Ability to effectively use programming to maximize guest ancillary spend is crucial.
  • Integrity and judgement essential.
  • Ability to facilitate and execute a dynamic operational strategy for the resort.
