We are looking for applicants who have a proven history in warehouse operations and experience in sales and customer service .

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a key part in keeping our warehouse operations running smoothly. Your day will predominantly include warehouse duties, and you will also pitch in and provide support to the customer service team, by answering phones, serving customers in the shop and other requests from managers, when required.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintenance of stock control
  • Operating forklift, transferring stock between trucks and store area
  • Check inwards goods and receipt stock into accounting system,
  • Check supplier costs on goods received, ensure costs match those in our accounting system
  • Transfer inwards goods into designated areas
  • Pick, pack check and dispatch customer orders
  • File delivery dockets, invoices etc
  • Keep abreast of freight costs
  • Contact suppliers regarding damaged goods, short deliveries, credits etc
  • Ensure that maintenance of truck and forklift are carried out on a regular basis
  • Assist with stock takes as required
  • Keep the warehouse, storeperson's office and amenities in a clean and tidy condition
  • Ensure buildings and grounds are kept clean, tidy and weed free
  • Answer phones and assist in shop when asked by managers

What we are looking for

  • Proven history in warehouse operations with some customer service sales experience
  • Current clean drivers and forklift licenses
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • Honest, reliable, punctual and takes pride in your work
  • A team player who is happy to help where needed
