Forklift Supervisor

Are you an experienced forklift driver with a knack for leadership?

At Mr Apple, we're looking for a skilled professional to join our team as a Forklift Supervisor. This is a fixed-term role until the end of August 2026, with the potential to become permanent for the right person. You'll be working day shift hours, 6 days a week, leading a team and ensuring smooth operations during one of the busiest seasons in horticulture.

What you'll be doing

As a Forklift Supervisor, you'll work alongside the Operations Team Leader to keep everything moving smoothly. Your role is all about coordination and leadership – making sure resources are used effectively and workflows run like clockwork. Day-to-day you will:

• Oversee forklift operations and ensure safe, efficient handling of fruit.
• Manage fruit flows, treatments, and storage to maintain quality standards.
• Coordinate timely dispatch to end-user sites, supporting just-in-time inventory management.
• Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and maintain strong health and safety practices.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, forklift operators, and other team members to keep operations on track.

This is a hands-on leadership role where your decisions directly impact productivity and quality.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience operating forklifts, ideally with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong commitment to health and safety practices
• Excellent communication skills – confident working with a wide range of people
• Flexibility to work up to 6 days a week during peak season
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand and ability to pass pre-employment checks
