Job Description

Our Senior Wellness Partners are at the heart of enriching the lives of our residents, doing everything with kindness and purpose. Each day you will work in partnership with residents to support their personal care needs and encourage resident-led decision making in their eating, resting, movement, communication, and activities.
As a shift leader, the Senior Wellness Partner is responsible for providing Wellness Partner shift support by planning and coordinating activities of daily living, ensuring care is delivered efficiently and in line with the Attitude of Living Well model.
In this role, you will act as a key support for Registered Nurses, leading the shift team by offering guidance and direction to other Wellness Partners. You will serve as the first point of contact for questions from Wellness Partners during your shift, providing initial triage and support. When no Registered Nurse is rostered, you will take the lead in planning the shift, ensuring the team is organised to effectively meet the needs of all residents.

- Broad knowledge of aged care including wound care, medication and dementia
- Enjoyment in interacting with older people and participating in meaningful work which has a real impact on people's lives.
- Experience providing care to the elderly, or similar relevant experience.
- Organisational, time management and problem-solving ability
- Commitment to a high standard of performance with diligence and care.
- Ability to work within a team where we respect our residents and our team members.
- Honesty, integrity, high energy, physical fitness, and enthusiasm.
- Availability to work rostered shifts, including weekends and nights
Qualifications

We will be interviewing and screening NZ Residents and NZ Citizens as a priority before looking internationally.
Senior Wellness Partner
- NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4, Diversional Therapy, or equivalent qualification AND at least three years' working experience (ANZCO Skill Level 3)
- Must be Medication Competent (both qualified and practically assessed) and able to confidently undertake mediation rounds
Utu Taipitopito | Pay Details
- $28.50 to $31.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
