As an Assistant Accountant with our Shared Services team, you will assist with gathering financial data and ensure consistent usage of balance sheet and profit and loss accounts, promoting consistent best practice accounting application across the group. The key focus of the role will be on tax preparation, plus analysis of our Greenhouse Gas data.
 

In addition to the above you will:  

  • Completion of GST returns, plus other tax preparation tasks.
  • Analysis of Greenhouse gas emissions data to ensure conformity and accuracy.
  • Month end calculations and journal entries.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation and associated tasks.
  • Direct Debit allocations.
  • Assist with other accounting tasks.

We're looking for someone with:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and working toward CA/CPA certification.
  • Solid understanding of financial data and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • May be working towards a qualification.

This role will suit an experienced Administrator with a strong understanding of finance or an accountant at the start of their career.
