At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
Your impact
Our Operations, Management & Facility Services (OMFS) team is expanding in New Zealand, and we're looking for an Operations & Maintenance Specialist to join us in Auckland. In this role, you'll support the delivery of operations and maintenance (O&M), facilities management, and asset management services for our water, wastewater, and energy transition clients across Aotearoa and the wider ANZ region.
A key aspect of this role is working closely with clients to understand their operational and maintenance challenges and deliver tailored, practical solutions that align with their strategic goals. You'll need strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to deliver solutions that meet client-specific needs.
While based in Auckland, travel to client sites across New Zealand may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to client O&M teams, including coordination with third-party providers
- Develop and implement O&M documentation, commissioning ITPs, checklists, and handover materials
- Support the implementation of asset management systems, data analytics, and optimisation strategies
- Analyse O&M and asset data, generate insights, and prepare reports
- Review and improve operational and maintenance procedures
- Prepare O&M manuals, SOPs, maintenance job plans, and task procedures
- Deliver operator training programmes
- Manage Jacobs' Echo field mobility solution and workflow delivery
Here's what you'll need
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Proven experience in collaborative, client-facing roles
- Proficiency in O&M data management, spatial databases, and multi-criteria analysis
- Knowledge of data conversion, projection, and transformation
- Hands-on experience in operations, maintenance, commissioning, and documentation
- Familiarity with CMMS/Enterprise Asset Management Systems
- Expertise in data editing, digitising, acquisition, and procurement
At Jacobs, we prioritise work-life balance and offer flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle. Whether it's hybrid, part-time, or flexible hours, we're open to discussing what works best for you.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking team and contribute to the delivery of essential infrastructure projects across New Zealand and beyond. Hey, we think O&M is as important as designing or building Infrastructure, so come make a difference in a cool team influencing and optimising the overall lifecycle.
