Ajisen Botany is a well-known Asian cuisine restaurant specializing in authentic ramen, rice bowls, and a variety of Asian specialty snacks. We are currently looking for 2 skilled Cooks to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Cook, you will be working for a minimum of 30 hours per week on a roster, and you will be responsible for:

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook ramen, rice bowls, and a variety of Asian snacks following our standard recipes.
  • Ensure food is cooked and presented consistently to meet quality standards.

    Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen in accordance with food safety regulations.
  • Assist in food preparation, ingredient handling, and stock management.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and coordinate with other team members.

  • Adhere to health and safety protocols and maintain kitchen equipment in good condition.

  • Requirements:

  • A New Zealand Certificate in Cookery (Level 4) or an equivalent qualification(No specific major is required, if the applicant holds a bachelor's degree or higher )OR
  • At least one year of relevant work experience in an Asian restaurant or similar food service environment.
  • Familiarity with Asian cooking techniques and ingredients is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a busy kitchen.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.

  • Willingness to follow kitchen guidelines and maintain a high standard of hygiene.
