Join our talented team at Oldebeach as a full-time Baker based in Waikanae Beach, Wellington. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for crafting delicious breads, pastries and other baked goods to delight our customers. With a focus on using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients, you'll play a key part in upholding our reputation for exceptional baking.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, pies and other baked goods according to recipes and company standards
• Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
• Share your baking expertise and provide guidance to junior team members

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification in baking or culinary arts
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a professional baker in a commercial kitchen environment
• Excellent knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
• Passion for using high-quality, fresh ingredients to create exceptional baked goods
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
