DataTorque is looking for a strategic technical leader to join their Engineering leadership team in Wellington. As Head of Infrastructure & Automation, you'll drive their transition to cloud and automation initiatives and lead four high-performing teams: Automation Platform, DBAs, DevOps, and Infrastructure.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the execution of our infrastructure and automation roadmap
  • Driving cloud migration initiatives in collaboration with our Cloud Architect
  • Overseeing build and release automation pipelines for internal and client environments
  • Championing infrastructure-as-code, self-service tooling, and automation-first practices
  • Mentoring and growing technical capability across multidisciplinary teams
  • Ensuring operational excellence, system reliability, and business continuity

What you'll bring:

  • Proven leadership in infrastructure, DevOps, and automation
  • Experience with cloud migration and hybrid/cloud-native systems
  • Passion for developer productivity and delivery enablement
  • Strong mentoring and team-building skills
  • Strategic thinking and a proactive approach to improvement
