Multi-skilled Trades Certified fitter Turner/ Machinist

WB Engineering Specialists seeks a Multi-skilled Trades Certified fitter Turner/Machinist is required to join a progressive team with appropriate remuneration.

We are a General Engineering Business situated in Mount Maunganui, Tauranga.

We are genuinely seeking an excellent team player as we have an exceptional team of people. Applicant will need to be conversant with all areas of Turning and milling, advantage CNC and programming. Capable of fault finding, very good diagnose with the ability to instigate appropriate repairs without supervision.

Applicant must have a trade certificate or equivalent trade training.

Jobbing shop experience is necessary as turnaround time with an excellent finish is required. The role is varied from highly skilled machining work to stripping and fault finding of hydraulic pumps and motors inclusive of ancillary equipment. As well as site work where pumps, valves etc will be overhauled. Site fitting work will be required for training and coverage.

Must have outstanding with communication with clients.

The ability to be on a callout roster is also required, normally one week in 6 weeks for our site work. Fitting skills are a must as valves pumps gearbox overhauls are regularly undertaken

Job Description

EHS:

· Strictly adhering to all health and safety policies, procedures and legal requirements including the use of the appropriate protective clothing

Reports too:

· Reports to supervisor

· Assist the Supervisor with job timing, work scheduling, work instructions and job plans make recommendations to the Supervisor in relation to work practices, which could improve quality, to increase productivity and reduce costs

· Complete all tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Duties

· Provide technical support and Training to both Maintenance & production personnel where required

· Use Fusion 360 for programming (or willing to learn)

· Program CNC Equipment.

· Operate all manual lathes and Mills

· Installation, inspection, repair and maintenance of mechanical systems, equipment, and components. Which will include executing preventative, corrective and planned maintenance tasks and providing technical assistance as required to the relevant codes and industry standards

· Work with other maintenance personnel to maintain equipment to agreed schedules, procedures and standards.

· Following all standard operating procedures

· Assist the Supervisor with job timing, work scheduling, work instructions and job plans make recommendations to the Supervisor in relation to work practices, which could improve quality, to increase productivity and reduce costs

· Diagnosis/Fault Finding of malfunctioning mechanical systems, equipment, and components

· Complete all tasks as assigned by the supervisor

· Diagnosis of malfunctioning mechanical systems, equipment, and components

· Regular maintenance of pneumatic, hydraulic, pumping system equipment and components

· Liaising with clients in job execution, if required.

· Fitting and such additional duties as the Employer may from time to time reasonably require.

Training:

· Attending relevant training and development activities which may include Training to upskill in areas such as Lathe Mill Welding where required.
