Who we are looking for:
We are looking for experienced Project Coordinator with strong interpersonal skills, someone who sets high professional standards and leads by example.
Reporting to the Department Manager, the key responsibilities of this office based role include the following:
Here are some of the key attributes we are looking for:
- A bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience in the Auckland civil industry, preferably in horizontal drilling and excavation works.
- Proficiency in essential office software tools.
- Proven ability to foster positive, collaborative, and supportive team relationships.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong eagerness to learn and grow.
A passion for continuous improvement and the ability to maintain an open and adaptable approach to work.
Build & maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders
- Preparing project schedules in consultation with the Department Manager
- Assigning and managing technician schedule on daily basis
- Develop strategy with Department Manager to improve profitability
- Process improvement with the Department Manager
- Team handling capabilities
- Maintain Health & Safety Standards with HSEQ department
- Work with the Department manager to ensure all crew are fully utilized, paperwork is up to date and progress is communicated sufficiently to the Operations Manager

1. Project Planning and Scheduling
- Develop, maintain, and oversee project schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate tasks, resources, and timelines with internal teams and external stakeholders.
2. Budget Management and Cost Control
- Monitor & report project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial plans.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality.
3. Risk Management and Problem Solving
- Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Address operational challenges by providing proactive solutions.
4. Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Ensure all project activities meet industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Conduct desktop checks and audits to maintain project integrity.
6. Team and Resource Management
- Supervise project teams and allocate resources effectively.
- Ensure workforce scheduling aligns with project requirements.
