A well established medium sized freight forwarder is looking to add strength to its customs team after securing a significant new account. The business is known for its long standing presence in the industry and ownership that has always been actively involved in the freight forwarding sector. Their traditional approach gives staff a strong sense of stability which is valued in the current economic climate.

They are open to considering a junior customs compiler ready to grow or an intermediate level broker who is comfortable handling a varied workload. The team works in Cargowise although someone who is confident with systems and processes will settle in well as the company is looking to automate more of its workflow.

You will work alongside a group of experienced brokers and report to the Customs Manager. The role is based at the airport and requires onsite work Monday to Friday. This position will start in the new year so you can enjoy any planned summer break before stepping into a secure long term role.

  • Sound tariff knowledge and attention to detail
  • Confidence with systems and a willingness to learn new processes
  • A steady approach and the ability to work well in a close knit team
