The Role

Reporting to the National Sales Manager your client base is B2B including government.  With a primary focus on consumables & equipment used in medical industry. Expect to

You will manage both existing customers and hunt for new business

You will be working autonomously and can expect your days to be both varied and rewarding as sales grow.  overnight travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new sales opportunities
  • Manage and develop a sales pipeline both with regular small wins and larger long-term opportunities
  • Be main point of contact for clients
  • Keep up to date with new products & market trends
  • Be highly organized, resilient, ready to use your drive and initiative
  • Effective regional coverage Hutt valley, Hawkes Bay, Nelson Marlborough

Preferred Skills & Experience

No industry experience?? Don't worry.  All you really do need is a positive attitude, sound sales skills and a great work ethic.  Otherwise …

  • 2 years minimum experience working in a Business Development role on the road
  • Computer literate with a sound working knowledge of MS office applications
  • Experience selling a technical product/solution
  • Familiarisation of medical consumables

About you

To be considered you must:

Be self-motivated, and able to work autonomously

Have a keenness to learn with the ability to read and absorb manuals and online information

Be Confident in walking into a client's business & approaching new customers

Hold a full New Zealand driver's license

Have an NZ Permanent Residency or a valid work visa
