About the role

As the Accounting Team Lead, you'll lead a team of Accountants with varying levels of experience. You'll be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing your team while ensuring high-quality service delivery across accounting and tax advice for our client products. You'll also contribute to strategic initiatives, process improvements, and change projects that shape the future of our accounting approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and foster a high-performing, values-driven team culture.
  • Lead coaching and development conversations to grow team capability.
  • Oversee quality assurance and ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
  • Allocate work effectively and monitor team outputs.
  • Support delivery of specialist accounting services and tax advice.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Retail and Client Accounting leadership teams.
  • Monitor performance metrics and contribute to strategic goals.

About you

You're a people-focused leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for service excellence. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy mentoring others to achieve collective success.

  • Proven experience in leading high-performing accounting teams (3+ years).
  • Strong technical knowledge in accounting and tax.
  • Chartered Accountant qualification (preferred).
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • A growth mindset and passion for developing others.
  • Commercial acumen and a drive for service excellence.
  • Experience in process improvement and change initiatives.
