About the role

As a Finance Business Partner, you will be involved in optimising performance outcomes and driving improvement initiatives within the Decision Support team. This involves providing timely and accurate information and advice to support effective financial management and decision-making.

This is a 12-month contract covering parental leave.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Supporting the financial planning process by partnering with the business to achieve financial and member outcome targets and understanding industry trends
  • Ensuring financial implications are understood from a governance perspective and adhering to accounting policies are crucial
  • Collaboration with Financial Control and Actuarial functions as necessary
  • Challenging the status quo and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Building trusted relationships and championing collaborative ways of working to achieve overall objectives are also key aspects of the role.

About you

  • Exposure to working in a business partnering capacity
  • Strong mathematical and numerical proficiency
  • Strong modelling skills using excel or other systems
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and manage workloads
  • Ability to use data to identify underlying trends to support decision making and problem solve
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Relevant qualification, e.g., commerce/finance, economics, actuarial or related
  • Experience in financial services (Exposure to insurance preferred)
  • Experience providing advice and insight
  • Exposure to Tech1 and PowerBi
