About the Role

We are hiring a Field and Laboratory Technician for our Northland/North Auckland team.

Important note: This is not a design or office-based engineering role. It is a field and lab-based position, ideal for people who enjoy practical, hands-on outdoor work.

This is a hands-on, practical role, perfect for people who enjoy:


• Outdoor work


• Using machinery and equipment


• Working on essential infrastructure projects across Northland and Auckland

Key Responsibilities


• Conduct field testing for civil, roading, and infrastructure projects


• Perform laboratory testing on soils, aggregates, and construction materials


• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot field and lab equipment


• Record and report data accurately to IANZ standards


• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures


• Work independently and within a close-knit local team

What We're Looking For


• Mechanically minded, hands-on people who enjoy practical tasks


• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors


• Strong attention to detail, following clear processes


• Willingness to learn technical skills with on-the-job training


• Full Class 1 driver's licence is essential


• Class 2 and manual licence are a bonus
