An exciting opportunity is available at Dress Smart Christchurch for an ex-tradesperson/maintenance person to support the Facilities Manager to ensure that the property is maintained to a high standard of functionality.

In this role, ideally you will be working 20 hours a week (usually Monday to Friday, 8am to 12pm). You'll be responsible for undertaking all minor repairs and maintenance works to ensure the facilities in the buildings are functioning and well maintained. You'll have a strong health and safety focus, and your strength will be diagnosing an issue to determine whether you can resolve it yourself, being hands on with repairs and maintenance tasks associated with e.g. plumbing systems, basic builders/carpentry works, plaster/paint repairs, grounds maintenance, water ingress remediation, and seasonal cleaning.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

As an experienced tradesperson (or similar), you love being hands-on, have strong communication and time management skills and are solution focussed with high attention to detail. You're organised and comfortable with overseeing various workstreams, with a focus on a quality end-result.
