Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice grounded in in-depth knowledge of NZ tax legislation, case law, and IRD rulings
  • Lead and mentor junior tax team members to deliver outstanding client outcomes
  • Build strong client relationships through clear, proactive, and strategic communication
  • Conduct detailed research to deliver high-quality tax opinions and practical recommendations
  • Oversee the tax lodgement programme and manage client payment obligations
  • Analyse financial statements to uncover tax implications and planning opportunities
  • Translate complex tax findings into actionable strategies tailored to client needs
  • Integrate broader financial insights into your tax advisory approach

So Who Are You And What Is Your Profile?

  • CA qualified or hold a relevant Law degree
  • 4 to 7+ years of NZ-based tax experience in professional or corporate services
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-first approach
  • Exceptional analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • A collaborative team player who contributes positively to culture
