We're looking for a bartender with solid experience and a genuine interest in the craft. The role is hands-on, fast-paced, and focused on consistency. Our service model is predominantly dispensed-based, with a smaller amount of direct guest interaction, giving you the space to focus on precision, quality, and clean execution throughout service. You'll be part of a team that values preparation, systems, creativity, and delivering drinks that land every single time.

Responsibilities

  • Mix and serve a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classics, modern classics, FMLL signatures, seasonal drinks, and mocktails
  • Prepare drinks promptly while maintaining flavour, balance, and presentation standards
  • Maintain the bar display and workstation to maximise functionality, flow, and visual appeal
  • Keep all bar equipment and tools operational, reporting issues when required
  • Maintain a clean and organised bar area, including glassware washing, polishing, and rotation
  • Prepare garnishes, syrups, infusions, and batches to set recipes & standards
  • Support seasonal menu changes, cocktail and mocktail development, wine and beer selection, and general beverage program improvements
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, techniques, methods, and new ingredients
  • Contribute positively to service flow, team communication, and bar culture

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a bar or comparable professional hospitality role
  • Confident with cocktail fundamentals — classics, modern classics, spirits, flavour profiles, prep, and consistency
  • Able to work at pace while maintaining a clean, organised station
  • Strong commitment to guest experience (even in a primarily dispensed-service environment)
  • Reliable, adaptable, and able to commit to working evenings and weekends
  • Interest in drink development, preparation techniques, and maintaining high standards
  • Knowledge of POS systems and day-to-day bar operations
  • Manager's Certificate is an advantage
  • Positive attitude and strong communication — works well within a tight team
  • Able to multi-task, stay calm under pressure, and take initiative during service
  • Must have valid working rights in New Zealand at the time of application
