About the role

Join the dynamic team at Crowne Plaza Auckland as a Bartender. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional customer service and crafting unique, innovative cocktails in the heart of Auckland's vibrant CBD.

One Twenty 8 is a bold new dining destination built on the heat of the flame and the richness of New Zealand's finest ingredients. Our concept centres on smoke, wood, and char, infusing every dish with depth, heat, and an unmistakable connection to land and fire.

What you'll be doing:

  • Prepare and serve a wide variety of classic and signature cocktails, spirits, wines, and other beverages to guests
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of cocktail recipes, bar equipment, and liquor inventory
  • Provide excellent customer service and anticipate guests' needs
  • Assist with bar set-up and clean-up procedures
  • Ensure the bar area is well-stocked, clean, and organized at all times
  • Collaborate with the food and beverage team to create unique drink menus and pairings
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience as a bartender, ideally in a high-volume, upscale establishment
  • Excellent knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktail recipes, spirits, and bar tools
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to create a welcoming, engaging atmosphere
  • Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and a drive to provide an exceptional guest experience
