Join our Marton Rural Supplies store in this casual Customer Service Representative role, working as/when needed to cover staff leave and busy days. There may be the option to pick up additional casual work in other nearby stores if you are interested.

About the role

Based in-store, you will assist our rural clients by helping them find the products they are looking for, processing sales and taking products to their vehicles. You'll also assist with tasks such as stock management and displays, and loading/unloading deliveries. For the right person, we may also be able to teach you the office administration if this interests you.  Ideally, you'll have a keen interest and passion for the local rural industry, and your excellent customer service skills will set you apart.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Assist customers with their queries and help to locate products
• Process sales and product requests
• Assist customers and colleagues
• Assist with basic administrative tasks
• Order, unpack and display merchandise according to company guidelines
• Clean and organise the store.

Skills and experience:

• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience in and passion for the New Zealand agricultural sector is a benefit
• Previous retail and/or sales experience is an advantage
• Good physical fitness as heavy lifting is required
• Current forklift licence and F endorsement is a bonus but not essential.
