Quality & Compliance Manager

PEC Limited is seeking a driven and experienced Quality & Compliance Manager to join our team in Marton, Manawatu. This full-time role, based in Marton, will be responsible for the management and compliance of our Quality Management System, the Senior Ex Representative, lead Internal Ex Auditor, and Ex Technical Expert.  You will also ensure that all products managed by PEC comply with applicable manufacturing specifications, standards and legislation for the markets they are supplied into.

What you'll be doing

1. Developing, implementing and monitoring quality assurance systems and procedures and improvement initiatives
2. Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations, standards, and internal policies
3. Lead and conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and corrective actions
4. Providing training, mentoring and guidance to staffs on quality and compliance requirements
5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality and compliance related issues
6. Reporting on quality and compliance performance audit outcomes, and compliance issues to senior management
7. Manage communication and documentation with regulatory authorities, certification bodies and customer compliance & reporting requests
8. Staying up-to-date with changes in industry regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

1. 5+ years' experience with management of product compliance ideally in Explosive Atmospheres
2. Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Design qualification
3. Proven experience and understanding in managing and maintaining Quality Management Systems e.g. ISO9001, ISO/IEC
4. In-depth knowledge of relevant quality standards, regulations and compliance requirements
5. Management of Type or Pattern Approval
6. Management of Compliance queries with Customers and Regulatory Authorities or Agencies
7. Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills
8. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
9. Ability to effectively communicate, engage and collaborate with employees at all levels
