We are looking for an inspiring and motivated Cluster Leader to join our Retail Leadership team. Based in Auckland, you will be responsible for 4-6 stores throughout Auckland, Whangarei and Tauranga.

Reporting to the NZ Regional Manager, the Cluster Leader will be responsible for coaching of all Store Leaders, Sales Consultants and supporting through coaching to achieve KPI targets. The role will be supporting the store teams in maximising all initial sales and all future on -line sales. This business-critical leadership role will drive positive sales results, create and maintain a healthy workplace culture, and lead strategic change to increase profitability.

THE ROLE

To be successful as Cluster Leader you will demonstrate or possess:

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to apply solid commercial judgment
  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of product, services and procedures including customer care sales process
  • Drive performance by ensuring that portfolio and individual sales targets, KPIs and compliance obligations are achieved
  • Work with Inventory Management to manage and control stock ensuring the right product is allocated and replenished
  • Maintenance upkeep, training and upholding operational excellence, i.e. store appearance, visual merchandising, dress code and behaviour
  • Provide timely feedback to Regional Manager in relation to their business area including operations and colleagues' performance.
  • Build and maintain collaborative, cohesive relations with the support office teams
  • Identify talent to support growth initiative and development with succession planning.
  • Manage customer complaints in a timely manner and identify trends or issues, implementing improvement and escalate where required
  • Conduct regular one-to-one performance reviews with direct reports to provide feedback and identify areas of improvement across all reporting levels
  • Cultivate an inclusive, inspirational environment through consistent team recognition

In summary we need a leader who can get the job done, but also develop key relationships with peers and key stakeholders remotely.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Our next Cluster Leader will possess:

  • Ability to engage and present persuasively to Senior Management
  • 2-3 years' experience as a multi-site manager with a proven track record leading and managing 5 plus retail stores across a geographic spread
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data insights and identify business and commercial risks and opportunities
  • Demonstrated experience and capability with change management, successfully leading teams through ambiguity
  • Strong influencing, negotiating and communications skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to travel to visit all stores within the portfolio, including regular regional travel

Retail sales background is highly preferred for this role.

Working Full Time 40 hours per week, you will have flexible availability to work across all days of the week on a rotational basis to support the store network.
