The Company

Constantia Foods is a long established mid-sized company that manufactures a range of retail food products for itself, as well as a number of retail brands for other companies. It also supplies products into Foodservice in NZ and Exports some products to Japan.

The Role

Being a mid sized company making a diverse product range means the person that we seek has to be adaptable and have knowledge of a number of areas. The key areas include

• All aspects of Food Safety including Micro's, RMP and audits
• Compliance and documentation for Customer requirements and for MPI & RMP
• Good understanding of quality systems
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and critical controls
• Product development including recipes and factory trial work.
• Process improvement.

The role is varied and will also include

Preparing samples and documentation, process improvement, checking, writing and updating production process documentation, customer complaint investigation and corrective actions.

The Person we are looking for

The person we seek must be flexible and methodical and be able to logically work through problems, they will also need to be able to prioritize their workload, as the role is quite autonomous. They will have had some experience in a similar varied role and be degree qualified.  They will need to be confident and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.

There will occasionally be times when there is a requirement to be at the plant outside of normal office hours, but there is also considerable flexibility possible in terms of hours, so long as the work gets done.
