About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst (Technical BA) who can sit at the intersection of business, design, and engineering.

You'll own the scope and requirements for client projects, both Functional (FRs) and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and work alongside the Project Manager to ensure the solution remains aligned with business goals and technical realities throughout delivery.

This is not a "gather-and-handover" role; you'll stay close to the product as it evolves, maintaining a deep understanding of architecture, APIs, and integrations to ensure decisions are grounded in technical context.

What You'll Do

  • Lead discovery and scoping sessions with clients to define clear and testable functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Translate business objectives into structured documentation that guides design and technical delivery.
  • Maintain ongoing alignment between business requirements, UX design, and engineering.
  • Document and manage dependencies across systems, APIs, and third-party integrations.
  • Collaborate with architects and tech leads to validate feasibility, estimate effort, and shape solution design.
  • Work with the Project Manager to maintain the agreed scope, manage change, and ensure deliverables remain traceable to business outcomes.
  • Ensure NFRs such as performance, security, scalability, and maintainability are captured early and validated during testing.
  • Facilitate handover and release documentation — ensuring that functional and technical artefacts stay current.

What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst in a software delivery environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile/Scrum) and API-driven architectures.
  • Proven ability to elicit, document, and manage FRs and NFRs for complex digital products.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, and Postman.
  • Comfortable discussing data models, integration patterns, and security constraints at a conceptual level.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bonus: experience in mobile/web app delivery, identity management, or Azure-based cloud-native systems.
