The Role

This is a hands-on 3-month contract where you'll be supporting both residential and commercial mortgage applications. You'll play a key part in:

• Analysing and preparing residential mortgage applications (including home loans, investment lending, and refinancing).
• Managing commercial property and business lending deals, including more complex structures.
• Coordinating directly with clients, brokers, lenders, and internal stakeholders throughout the loan process.
• Ensuring all loan documentation is complete, accurate, and delivered promptly to solicitors and lenders.
• Overseeing settlements to meet deadlines and keeping all parties informed.
• Taking ownership of loan administration and ensuring smooth progress from application through to drawdown.

What We're Looking For

• Strong background in both residential mortgage broking and commercial property lending with New Zealand institutions.
• Previous experience as a loan writer for a mortgage broker (or similar) will be highly regarded.
• Proven ability to manage both straightforward home loans and more complex multi-security or development deals.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; familiarity with second mortgages is an advantage.
• Strong communicator who can build trust with clients, brokers, and lenders alike.
• Self-starter with the resilience to thrive under pressure, yet collaborative when needed.
• Detail-driven, organised, and solutions-focused.
• Experience with MyCRM / NZFSG platforms is a strong plus – please highlight this in your application.
