Reservations Manager

Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre in Mount Wellington is looking for a dedicated Reservations Manager to join our friendly, hands-on team at our central yet peaceful location on the edge of the Panmure Lagoon.

About You

• Must have at least 24 months of experience as a Reservations Manager or in a supervisory role within a Central Reservations department in a larger operation. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in international hotel chains.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • PMS.  If you have Suite 8 experience, great - but more important is the ability to pick up new systems quickly (as part of an upcoming brand transition, we'll be moving to a new system) 
  • Distribution systems such as SiteMinder, GDS and OTAs
• A passion for customer service, high standards of service and excellent attention to detail.
• Is confident and experienced in all facets of Reservations duties.
• Understands the wider complexities of a Hotel + MICE environment
• Calm under pressure
• Have the ability to multi-task with a can-do attitude
• Great communication skills to ensure all key stakeholders are kept up-to-date
• Pre-opening or brand transition experience would be an advantage
• Are available to start as soon as possible.
• Must have the right to work in NZ

About the Job - You'll:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Reservations Department
• Ensure all bookings are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with hotel standards and policies
• Manage room inventory, rate loading, and distribution across all channels (OTA, direct, GDS)
• Maximise revenue opportunities through effective yield management
• Handle group bookings, special requests, and VIP arrangements
• Collaborate with Front Office, Sales, Conference, PPG Revenue, and Operations teams
• Analyse daily pick-up, forecast trends, and provide reports as required
