Auckland CBD, New Zealand Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Full time NZ$60,000 - NZ$90,000 per year
  • Auckland based
  • 12 month Fixed Term (Maternity Leave), full-time

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is the country's largest employer, delivering universal public healthcare to 5 million New Zealanders.

We provide essential hospital, specialist, and community health services across 80+ locations - from large urban centres to rural towns and remote communities.

Our goal is to improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders by delivering equitable, accessible and innovative care.

About the Role

As the Regional Integration Team (RIT) Co-ordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of regional priorities and governance structures. Reporting to the RIT Team Leader, you'll provide day-to-day coordination and high-quality administrative support, including secretariat functions for regional strategic and operational forums.

You'll help ensure cohesion across Health NZ business units, support the development of forward-looking work programmes, and contribute to system-wide performance monitoring. This role is essential in enabling the region to deliver on the Pae Ora Act requirements and achieve equitable health outcomes, particularly for Māori.

  • Provide secretariat support including meeting scheduling, agenda preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking
  • Support reporting, monitoring, and project work across the regional work programme
  • Format and prepare collateral for publishing or distribution
  • Act as a key point of contact for the team and key internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate team calendars, inboxes, travel, and accommodation bookings
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in systems and processes

About you

You're an experienced coordinator with a background in supporting senior leaders and complex work programmes. You're highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple priorities. You bring strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to equity and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.

You will have:

  • Proven experience in team coordination and administration
  • Experience providing secretariat support to governance groups
  • Proficiency in desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills
  • Ability to work with discretion, confidentiality, and initiative
  • Understanding of Pae Ora and Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations
  • A relevant qualification or equivalent experience
