Wage: $32.00 – $37.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Minimum 30 hours/week guaranteed) Part-time also considered

Position Summary – What You'll Do:

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in petrol, diesel, and hybrid vehicles
• Use diagnostic scan tools to detect and resolve performance issues
• Perform hybrid battery diagnostics, servicing, and replacements
• Carry out routine servicing and general mechanical repairs
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and compliance
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
• Engage in regular toolbox meetings and follow workshop procedures
• Deliver professional customer service and clear communication
• Carry out WOF inspections

What We're Looking For:

• A relevant automotive qualification (NZQA Level 3 or above), or at least 3 years of proven experience as a mechanic/technician
• Full, clean NZ driver's license
• WOF Inspector qualifications is highly desirable or the ability to gain the rating an advantage
• Experience with hybrid vehicles and batteries is highly desirable
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage workload efficiently
• Flexibility to work weekends or extended hours if needed

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Up to 42.5 hours per week (30 hours guaranteed)
• May occasionally be required to work weekends,
