Formed in 2020, Neptune Pacific Line acquired Pacific Direct Line, bringing together two of the South Pacific's top shipping and logistics companies to support the full supply chain of our customers in the region. NPDL is part of The Wonderful Company headquartered in the USA (including Fiji Water).

NPDL operates 11 containerships, moving +240k TEU between AU, NZ and the Pacific Islands, as well as the USA. We have strong partnerships with other shipping line, moving cargo across 25 customer destinations in 16 countries.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Logistics Manager to support our Group Depot & Transport functions, ensuring the smooth, accurate, and efficient operation of logistics processes that keep our business moving. This role is ideal for an experienced logistics professional who thrives on coordination, data accuracy, and operational excellence.

About the role:

In this role you'll lead the teams responsible for Container Control and Planning, ensuring that depot and transport operations run seamlessly across our network. You'll play a key role in managing data integrity, system performance, and operational reporting, while driving process improvements and supporting financial and strategic objectives.

Working closely with operations, finance, and customer service teams, you'll ensure our logistics support functions are aligned with business goals and that customers receive timely, professional service every time.

Operational Support & Coordination

• Oversee logistics support across NZ Depots and Transport.
• Lead Container Control and Planning teams to deliver operational efficiency.
• Monitor container and transport performance, resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate data and system integrity across transport management systems.
• Prepare and present reports highlighting trends, insights, and recommendations.
• Drive the adoption of system enhancements and process improvements.
• Develop and implement operational procedures that boost productivity and safety.
• Lead assigned Group projects.

Performance & Team Leadership

• Conduct regular performance reviews and support professional development.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Support workforce planning and resource allocation to meet business demands.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce costs.

Strategic & Financial Support

• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cost-tracking activities.
• Monitor logistics KPIs and performance metrics to drive improvement.
• Provide insights and data to support group-level decision-making.

Customer Focus

• Lead a team that provides accurate, professional, and timely customer service.
• Ensure customer queries and issues are managed efficiently and effectively.
• Represent Depot & Transport in group-level projects and meetings.

Health & Safety

• Model a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE standards.
• Identify and report any incidents, hazards, or near misses promptly.

This is a full-time permanent role based in Auckland. You will have the right to live and work in New Zealand at the time of applying. The successful candidate may be subject to undergo a Police Check and/or Pre-Employment Drug Test.
