You'll be part of a highly motivated kitchen team delivering exceptional café-style dining experiences for VIP guests. Copperfields prides itself on fresh, high-quality Kiwi cuisine served in a relaxed yet professional environment.

As a Commis Chef, you'll play a key role in supporting our Senior Chefs and ensuring consistency across our menu offerings. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and coordinating menu items, following culinary best practices to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Upholding impeccable hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Minimising food waste through responsible usage, following recipes accurately, and operating kitchen equipment confidently.
  • Managing competing priorities and working effectively under pressure while taking feedback constructively.

Tō kete | What You Will Bring to the Role:

  • Previous kitchen experience and/or relevant culinary qualifications.
  • A passion for food and continuous learning, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse team and contribute to a positive, supportive environment.

Salary: The appointing range for this role is $62,062 per annum, based on skills and experience (with scope for progression over time).
