Kiwi Skips has an exciting opportunity to join our fast growing, fun and busy team in Invercargill.

We are looking for an experienced Class 4 Driver to operate our modern Palfinger hook truck.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from sites throughout Southland using our hook truck. Experience with heavy machinery such as loaders and excavators (WTR) would be an advantage, along with flexibility to operate other waste collection vehicles when needed to help cover workload.

We operate seven days, and occasional weekend work is required. Minimum 40 hours guaranteed, permanent role.

Essentials:

  • Valid Class 4 Driver's License.
  • Physically fit and willing to work hard
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Reliable team player with a positive attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Willing to assist with general labouring tasks as required.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to learn and use company technology and systems - namely an iPad
  • Applicants must be able to pass a drug test and have no criminal convictions.
  • NZ residency or a valid work permit.

Advantageous:

  • Previous machinery experience (Excavator / Loader)
  • Previous waste or recycling experience
  • Previous waste collection truck experience (solid waste & liquid waste)
