LawAid International is looking for a criminal lawyer to join our team. 

We are a team of criminal defence and human rights specialists. Our practice involves criminal defence work at all levels, and we deal with serious crime and jury trial work in the District and High Court in locations throughout New Zealand.

We also take on criminal appeal work at all levels.

We are looking for someone who is dedicated to a career in criminal law and who is able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. While the role is primarily for criminal defence work, there will be opportunities to work in other areas such as civil and human rights. 

You will have recent courtroom and trial experience, and criminal legal aid categorisation at the PAL2 level.

You will work with a range of lawyers at various levels of experience, and be provided with training/mentorship as necessary, together with ample exposure to trial work to help you take the next step in your career progression.

The salary range starts at $110,000 and is negotiable depending on experience.
