Veterinary Laboratory Scientist

IDEXX is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Veterinary Laboratory Scientist to join our dedicated team in a full-time capacity at our state-of-the-art laboratory in Hamilton, New Zealand. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, efficient, and timely diagnostic testing services for IDEXX Reference Laboratories.
In this role, you will apply your expertise in biochemistry and haematology, exercising sound professional judgment in the interpretation, verification, and validation of laboratory analyses and test results. Your responsibilities will include performing and overseeing quality control procedures, setting up and maintaining laboratory instruments, and ensuring accurate and compliant reporting of results in line with IANZ certification standards.

You will have:A Bachelor of Medical Science/or equivalent degree.
Experience working in in a diagnostics laboratory, ideally within biochemistry and haematology
An understanding of IANZ and ISO 17025, standards
The ability to be flexible and comfortable with full time hours between Monday-Saturday on rotating day shifts.
Experience in operating efficiently and effectively to meet tight turnaround times in a commercial lab environment
Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
