Kia ora We're on the lookout for Senior Software Engineer – Integration to join our Digital Transformation team. Here's what you need to know:

Is this your next role?  

In this role, you'll design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance integration solutions that power Heartland's Digital Automation & Transformation Program. You'll enable seamless connectivity between systems, services, and platforms, ensuring the successful delivery of digital initiatives like origination, servicing, and AI-enabled squads.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust APIs, manage CI/CD pipelines, implement identity and access management using Azure B2C, and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture and security standards. This role blends technical depth with collaboration, giving you the chance to shape Heartland's integration landscape.

You're a seasoned backend engineer with a passion for building integration solutions that are secure, scalable, and future-ready. You thrive in fast-paced environments and love solving complex technical challenges.

With strong communication skills, you're a pro:

  • Designing and developing backend systems using Java (8+) and Spring Boot
  • Building and managing RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps
  • Implementing identity and access management using Azure B2C
  • Securing and exposing APIs through IBM API Connect
  • Packaging applications with Docker and deploying on OpenShift
  • Writing and optimizing SQL queries for relational databases
  • Ensuring quality through unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito)
  • Collaborating in Agile squads and driving best practices through code reviews
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk is a bonus
