Clinical Youth Practitioner

Are you passionate about young people and registered to a professional body? Social worker,

Counsellor, Health Professional etc.?

Are you excited about making a real difference in the lives of Pasifika young people?

Fonua Ola is seeking a motivated and skilled registered professional to join our team of Youth Practitioners dedicated to supporting our Pasifika Youth. We're looking for someone who is culturally aware, values relationships, and is committed to serving our young people to the best of their ability.

As a Youth Practitioner with Fonua Ola, you will:

  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, counselling, mental health or other related subject domains
  • Be registered with the relevant professional body
  • Be creative and confident in the delivery of youth programmes and youth engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with Fonua Ola services, government agencies, and community partners to provide holistic, wraparound support to Pasifika Youth.
  • Assess, develop plans, and walk alongside young people to achieve their goals.
  • Record and update notes efficiently and accurately on our database.
  • The ability to speak a Pacific language and demonstrate cultural competence is an advantage.
  • Manage your workload independently while contributing positively to a supportive team environment.
  • Be a confident facilitator and public speaker.
  • Hold a full clean NZ Driver's License.
  • Be a NZ citizen or a Permanent Resident.
