Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

As a actively involved Care Home Manager working for New Zealand Aged Care Services Limited at Tui Lifecare, you will be responsible for providing effective leadership and management to the facility and work collaboratively with the residents and staff to ensure good quality care and support services are delivered. You will be managing the facility including the standard of care being provided, overall staff supervision and human resource management as well as management of resources and budgets.  This position would suit someone with experience in a similar management position or seeking a step up in their career in the aged care industry.

Ngā Responsibilities Matua | Key Responsibilities

As the Care Home Manager, along with your journey in adding value to our home, you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring smooth functioning of all services.
  • Ensure the facility complies with New Zealand health and safety laws, aged care regulations, and Ministry of Health standards for aged residential care (including consent, privacy, medication management, infection control, etc.).

  • Maintain and develop quality improvement systems and policies to ensure consistent, safe care delivery.

  • Oversee budgeting and financial performance (staffing costs, supplies, equipment).

  • Take oncall responsibilities for escalations to Tui Lifecare

Mōu  | About you

  • Previous 2years experience in an aged care facility (highly preferred)
  • Management experience in a serviced focused environment or aged care sector.
  • Understanding of the budgeting process and working with a budget.
  • Ability to prioritize work, work under pressure, meeting deadlines and commitments.
  • Previous experience with change management and adhering to regulations and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and people leadership skills.
