About the role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga

You will guide clients through personalised planning and budgeting, enabling them to live independently and confidently. Your ability to connect, communicate, and problem-solve will be key to creating positive outcomes for those with diverse needs.

Ideally based in Auckland, however for the right candidate we are happy for them to based anywhere in Aotearoa.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work alongside clients and their whānau to design tailored support services that meet individual needs.
  • Coach and guide clients through managing their own budgets and making informed choices about care delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with community networks and government agencies to promote resources and services.
  • Assist clients in overcoming social, emotional, and financial challenges through practical solutions.
  • Monitor and review service performance, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will bring | Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga

  • Lived experience of disability, or experience working in partnership with disabled people and their whānau/community.
  • A genuine care about people and can listen deeply to understand their unique needs.
  • Effective communication where you can explain complex information in a clear, supportive way that build positive relationships.
  • Problem-solving mindset, you're resourceful and can help people overcome social, emotional, and financial challenges with practical, creative solutions.
  • Knowledge of the Enabling Good Lives approach.
  • Adaptability and resilience, you thrive in a dynamic environment and can adjust to changing circumstances while staying calm under pressure.
  • Strong budgeting and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent time management and autonomy in your work.
  • Respect diversity and are committed to working inclusively, embracing strategies that improve opportunities for Māori and Pasifika.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clients and whānau to deliver tailored services.
  • Full NZ Driver's License.
  • Your personal understanding of disability or supporting someone with diverse needs is highly valued and helps you connect authentically with the people we support.
