There's an opportunity to join our Testing team on a permanent basis to provide support to a number of projects and enterprise initiatives.

What you'll be doing:

As a Senior Test Engineer specialising in test automation, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our Salesforce and Digital platforms. Reporting to the Test & Release Lead, your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and executing automated test suites for functional, regression, and performance testing using tools such as Playwright, Applitools, Cypress, and Selenium.
• Driving the adoption and continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and best practices, ensuring robust, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
• Mentoring and upskilling team members in automation techniques, code quality, and test strategy.
• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins) to enable rapid, reliable delivery.
• Developing and maintaining automated tests for Salesforce platforms, with a focus on maximizing coverage and minimizing manual effort.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define automation requirements, resolve issues, and deliver high-quality releases.
• Identifying, documenting, and managing automation risks to ensure test reliability and effectiveness.
• Providing actionable feedback to enhance product quality and user experience.

A bit about you:

• Intermediate level, with several years experience in a senior Test Automation role, ideally within New Zealand's financial services sector, particularly Insurance background would be an advantage
• Proficient in test automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright (Java-based preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining automated test suites for Salesforce
• Strong background in API automation and integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams
• Flexibility to work with our Trans-Tasman partners
• Capable of building strong, lasting relationships with external stakeholders
• Excellent in both written and verbal communication
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and methodical in problem-solving

Nice to have skills:

• Experience in NRF testing
• New Zealand Insurance Industry experience
• AI Testing experience
